The 9th international conference and exhibition Ground Handling Russia & CIS was held on September 26-27, 2018

The lively speech underlining the main industry trends and new directions for ground operations services provision in the 21st century made by Maurizio Anichini, Co-founder & Chairman at TWIGA Aero, IATA Strategic Partner.

Oliver Schneider, Head of Group Commercial Airport Infrastructure Central Eastern Europe and Benelux, Lufthansa Group shared international carrier’s view on the future relationship between airlines and ground handlers/airports.

Vladimir Minyakin, Director for Ground Handling at St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport shared his experience in aircraft ground handling management at the airport.

Dmitry Khartunyan, Deputy COO of Vnukovo International Airport, spoke about the balance of time and flight safety in the maintenance of turnaround flights and optimization of operational indicators.

The conference agenda reflected key trends and drivers for the extensive airport industry modernization in the region.

The two pannel discussion within the framework of the conference were:

  1. Airports and airlines’ experience in handling operations during the World Cup 2018 was discussed by the representatives of S7 Airlines and Pulkovo, Kazan and Saransk International Airports.
  2. Demonopolization of the ground handling market: perspectives and opportunities in Russia.

With 4 new exhibitors, Ground Handling Russia & CIS featured the following companies on display: IMS, TLD, Cavag, Integro Technologies, EuroTech, Technoform, Zavod Podiomnikov, ElectroAir, SpeсAutoEngineering and TengoInteractive.
