The 13th international conference and exhibition MRO Russia & CIS took place on March 1 – 2 at World Trade Center in Moscow.
Recognized globally as the region’s largest networking platform for the MRO industry the conference has gathered technical and engineering management from the Russian & CIS airlines with key international MRO providers, component suppliers and aircraft industry to discuss trends and challenges which rapidly changing market in the region is facing today.
This year, the event has seen a record attendance of up to 1000 delegates including 250+ airline representatives.
The exhibition featured more than 80 companies from 25 countries on display.
This time, the event started with the MRO Russia & CIS Industry Award. For the first time Young Talents Award was rewarded for the young specialists for their professional achievements.
The conference agenda included 2 plenary sessions and 6 practical ones, which were devoted to the main trends and issues of MRO market in Russia and the CIS region.
The experts marked that starting from 2011, the last year was the most successful one in terms of total deliveries into Russian air carriers, i.e 142 aircraft, 77 of which are new ones. According to Mr. Kramarenko presentation, narrow-body jet dominate in deliveries –wide-body planes take only 13%. In general, Russian economy is recovering and in 2018–2020 effective passenger demand for air travel is going to grow by 3-5%.

According to the conference speakers and attendees, the 2018 MRO Russia & CIS saw an impressive airline and MRO market leaders gathering ever.

At the same time there are new opportunities, such as increase of own efficiency which can lead to the growth of market share.”

The exhibition featured almost all MRO providers working in the Russian market, as well as those who are going to enter it. Such a rapid development is not accidental and reflects the realities of the Russian MRO market, which is increasing simultaneously with the growth of passenger demand for air transport and cargo air carriage. The last year it was 15%, what is three times higher than the average world level.”
