Aircraft Finance and Lease Russia & CIS, the 3rd international conference held on March, 15 2011 in Moscow gathered over 150 industry professionals to discuss and share their views of the fast growing air transport market in the region.

Prospects and demands of Russian airlines for fleet upgrade were estimated in a presentation by Igor Samoylov, Russia’s Civil Aviation Research Institute while his colleague, Alexander Fridlyand made in-depth analysis of financial conditions of the Russian carriers.

According to a follow-up survey, conference delegates appreciated the overview of new approaches for attracting finance for new-generation Russian-built aircraft presented by Alexander Rubtsov, General Director of Ilyushin Finance Co.

RBS Aviation Capital’s Denis Hogan presented an overall analysis of aircraft lease market including near-term industry expectations generated by increase in demand.

Charles F. Willis, President & CEO of Willis Lease shared his views of major trends in engine lease with a special impact on the growing Russian market.

A roundtable discussion on airline finance featured presence of senior management from Vim-Avia Airlines, Belavia, Yakutia Airlines, Avianova who shared their estimates for future successful development of the industry in Russia and CIS.

The conference audience included management of the leading Russian and CIS airlines, international leasing companies, banks, legal and insurance companies as well as industry analysts, experts and consultants.
